Tutoring in English & Writing
As mentioned above, I have had an approximately 25-year career as a professor of English, teaching in schools ranging from community colleges in Southern California, to a Catholic College in the Midwest, to the University of the Virgin Islands,. I also, when we first moved to St. Thomas, taught high school English and Writing for a year and a half at Antilles School. I have experience assisting a number of individual students with asembling college applications, and with writing, including working with ESL writers. I am an associate professor at The University of the Virgin Islands. Rosalyn Rossignol consulted for us on an important report which we published annually for 20 years, “Kids Count, USVI.” For several years, Rosalyn served as a copy-editor and proof-reader for content and accuracy in the report, checking narrative, statistics, charts and numerical tables against each other for accuracy.
